SAFETY
TRAINING PROGRAMS
Technician
Level:
OSHA
Requirements:
 |
The
Technician level training program meets OSHA’s HAZWOPER 1910.120(q)
requirements for Emergency Response Training.
|
 |
OSHA mandates a minimum of 24 hours training time, have competency
in the established skills, complete annual refreshers and pass a basic
physical, a Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) and Medical Evaluation, per
OSHA’s Respiratory Standard 29 CFR 1910.134. |
Program
Duration:
The Technician level training program has a required duration time
of 24 hours with mandatory 8-hour annual refresher courses.
Program
Contents:
 |
Employees who successfully complete the Technician level
training program will be certified Hazardous Material Technicians.
|
 |
They should possess the necessary tools and knowledge to respond to
a hazardous material spill or release.
|
 |
R. M. Technologies will incorporate additional technical and
operational training to meet the guidelines set forth in OSHA’s Process
Safety Management (PSM) program and the EPA’s Risk Management Plan
(RMP). |
 |
This level of training
is designed for those individuals who respond to releases and/or spills
for the purpose of stopping or mitigating them.

 |
This program can be extended to meet any customer specific training
requirements. |
