SAFETY TRAINING PROGRAMS

Technician Level:

OSHA Requirements:

	The Technician level training program meets OSHA’s HAZWOPER 1910.120(q) requirements for Emergency Response Training.
	OSHA mandates a minimum of 24 hours training time, have competency in the established skills, complete annual refreshers and pass a basic physical, a Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) and Medical Evaluation, per OSHA’s Respiratory Standard 29 CFR 1910.134.

Program Duration: The Technician level training program has a required duration time of 24 hours with mandatory 8-hour annual refresher courses.

Program Contents:

	Employees who successfully complete the Technician level training program will be certified Hazardous Material Technicians.
	They should possess the necessary tools and knowledge to respond to a hazardous material spill or release.
	R. M. Technologies will incorporate additional technical and operational training to meet the guidelines set forth in OSHA’s Process Safety Management (PSM) program and the EPA’s Risk Management Plan (RMP).
	This level of training is designed for those individuals who respond to releases and/or spills for the purpose of stopping or mitigating them.
	This program can be extended to meet any customer specific training requirements.
